The Academy for Lifelong Learning (A.L.L.) offers several programs each year that are free and open to the general public. These include Lunch and Learns and an AARP driver education program, which is taught by an Academy member.
Twice a year, at the Holiday Party and the Annual Meeting/Luncheon, Academy members donate hundreds of personal care products to the Saratoga County Economic Opportunity Council (EOC). These are especially appreciated by EOC's clients , since such items are not covered by food stamps. The Academy also collects used eyeglasses donated by its members to present to the Lions Club for distribution to third world countries.
The Academy for Lifelong Learning (A.L.L.) has sponsored scholarships for Capital Region Empire State College students and has also supported the NIE (Newspapers in Education) program of The Saratogian. This program provides newspapers to classrooms in the area (elementary to high school) which teachers use for reading, writing, current events, math and other lessons.
