Enrollment Sequence for the M.A. Labor and Policy Studies Program

The following is the typical enrollment sequence for labor and policy studies students*:

First term:
8 credits = Policy Studies I** (POL-630500) & Labor Emphasis Seminar** (LAB-630501)

Second term:
8 credits = Policy Studies II: Labor and Public Policy** (LAB-630502) & Corporations, Bureaucracy and Labor Policy**
(LAB-630504)

Third term:
7 credits = Modes of Inquiry** (RAM-630590) & Policy Formation in Unions** (LAB-630503) or Human Resources: Achieving Organizational Effectiveness** (LHR-630505)

Fourth term:
6 credits = 2 electives

Fifth term:
7 credits = 1 elective & Final Project (LIB-630595)

Total 36 credits

* = the graduate fall and spring terms are 15 weeks long and the summer term is 8 weeks long. Therefore, students enrolling during the summer term may need to work with their mentor to adjust this enrollment sequence.
