What Makes Empire State College's M.B.A. Program Different?

Our 48-credit-hour M.B.A. program places the emphasis on executive management and leadership and is well suited for mid-career managers, especially those with some expertise in one or more of the functional areas (i.e., marketing, finance, MIS) as well as relevant experience managing people in an organizational setting.

Mid-career managers who wish to acquire both a broader familiarity of the functional requirements of management as well as root such acquisition in a competency framework (emphasizing not only the knowledge but the skill needed to be effective) should find the curriculum design of the M.B.A. program an excellent alternative to traditional programs. Additionally, if you have credit-worthy experiential learning and competencies you may earn credit towards your degree.
