CREATIVE WRITING IN NEW YORK CITY
The creative writing studies offer group and independent learning opportunities in fiction, poetry, playwriting, screenwriting, autobiography and memoir, and personal essay writing. Students range in abilities from beginner to advanced writers.

A weekend residency is offered each fall when professional writers, agents and editors come to share their wisdom and craft with students in various workshops and panel discussions.

These workshops focus on topics such as autobiography, fiction, poetry, and even a “getting ‘unblocked’ and getting started.

Typical concentrations have included:
  • Autobiographical Studies
  • Creative Nonfiction
  • Dramatic Writing (Screenwriting / Playwriting)
  • Fiction
  • Poetry
