Director of Corporate and Community Partnerships
Lisa M. Sax is the director of corporate and community partnerships for SUNY Empire State College, where she is responsible for strategic-partnership development, market research and work force development analysis. In her position, she regularly works with organizational leaders, human resource directors, work force and economic development professionals, and individuals in an organization who are responsible for teaching, learning and training.
Sax currently serves as a member of the WSWHE BOCES advisory council, the SUNY business and education committee, the Greater Capital Region Workforce Coalition, and is marketing committee chair of the Adult Higher Education Alliance.
She also has served as a member of the Capital Region Economic Development Council’s public-engagement work group, secretary of the Adirondack Regional Human Resource Association and on the boards of directors of The Chapman Historical Museum and the Warren Washington Counties Homeless Youth Coalition.
Prior to joining SUNY Empire State College in May of 2008, she was the executive director of the Adirondack Business and School Partnership, a nonprofit organization serving Warren, Washington and Saratoga counties. Previously, she worked in the fields of work force development, K-12 education, higher education, journalism, marketing and management.
She holds a B.S. in education and an M.S. in teacher education the College of Saint Rose in Albany, N.Y.
