Orders Using Financial Aid, VESID and Third-party Payment

Financial Aid

Orders cannot be processed using financial aid until:

  • enrollment is entered in the Empire State College system  
  • approval for awarded financial aid in excess of the cost of tuition and fees has been given to the bookstore by the student financial services office.

Enrollment for less than 6 credits will reduce or eliminate financial aid.

In order to receive your books without delay, you may order online. If you wish to fax a form, submit a course materials order form and a signed promissory note to 518-583-0801. These options are only for students who have applied for financial aid for the current term and whose funds are either available or pending.

Payment can be made by check, money order or credit card. Reimbursement will be made to you by the business office when your financial aid becomes available.

ACCESS/VESID or Third Party

Orders must be accompanied by a voucher from ACCESS/VESID (Office of Vocational and Educational Services for Students with Disabilities) or a third party showing the dollar amount that will be covered for educational materials. Orders will not be shipped without receipt of voucher or letter of intent from ACCESS/VESID or a third party.

  • If you have available financial aid for the current term, ACCESS/VESID may require your books to be charged against it instead of your ACCESS/VESID account.
  • ACCESS/VESID and third-party orders require you to pay the handling fee.
