Empire State College Master of Arts in Teaching alternative certification:
Our Master of Arts in Teaching degree program is designed to give professionals seeking a teaching career at the middle and high school levels a "fast track to the classroom."

Courses Available for Non-matriculated Graduate Students - Fall 2006:
If you are a teacher seeking professional development or a motivated adult seeking certification outside a traditional program, consider taking our online and blended courses as a nonmatriculated student.

Permanent Certification:
(for those with a bachelor's degree in Teacher Education only)

Students should contact New York State Education Department for current and detailed information about teacher certification or contact your Regional Certification office. You may also contact one of the local Teacher Centers in New York State.
