About WorldCat.org
WorldCat lets you quickly locate books, journals and other resources that are on the shelves of other libraries near you - an online catalog of materials held by thousands of libraries worldwide.

This is useful because, as a current Empire State College student or faculty member, you can access and borrow books and use the print journals in SUNY, CUNY, and New York state community college libraries using your Empire State College photo ID.

All WorldCat database records include a link that will display the libraries that own that item (for journals it will display what volumes are held as well). New York libraries are listed first by default.

You can print or e-mail to yourself the full record for each item you need to locate. This is helpful when trying to find the item in a library, request it via interlibrary loan, or order it through a commercial document delivery service.
