Announcements for Students

  • (11/6/09) Join us at the artists' reception for the Center for Distance Learning Fall 2009 Art Exhibition on Thursday November 19, 2009, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 113 West Avenue, Saratoga Springs, NY. The reception includes live music and light fare. The exhibit runs from November 19, 2009 – January 20, 2010. For more information, please contact CDL2009exhibit@esc.edu
  • (11/05/09) All November term registrations that are not paid for will be cancelled on Monday, November 9, at 8 a.m. E.S.T. Please review your account summary now and make sure that you do not have an outstanding balance. Acceptable payment arrangements are approved financial aid (as shown on your account summary) and the Time Payment Plan.

  • (11/03/09) The college has put together a "H1N1 Influenza Information" page, as well as some guidelines as to the symptoms and the precautions you should take with respect to H1N1 influenza.
  • (10/26/09) Late registration period for the November term opens October 26, 9:00 a.m. and closes November 6, 5 p.m. E.S.T. If you register during the late registration period, your registration must be paid for immediately or your enrollment will not be finalized and your classes will be cancelled. If you sign up for the time payment plan, the first 1/3 payment installment must be made at this time.
  • (10/23/09) Payment for the November term is due by 5:00 p.m. E.S.T. today. You must have payment or payment arrangements in full in place (as shown on your account summary) to avoid cancellation of your enrollment. If you are on the Time Payment Plan, your first 1/3 payment is due by 5:00 p.m. Students who registered or changed their registration since October 19 will not receive a paper bill.
  • (10/15/09) If you register or change your November registration after October 19, you will not receive a paper bill. You can view your account summary through the "My Records" purple tab. The payment due date for the November term is October 23, 5 p.m. E.S.T. Enrollments not paid in full, or through approved financial aid, sponsorship or enrollment in the Time Payment Plan will be cancelled after the payment due date.

  • (10/5/09) October 5, 9:00 a.m. -- October 23, 5 p.m. E.S.T. Registration for November 09 term opens for nonmatriculated students ( undergraduate students only).
  • (10/01/09) The college's Annual Safety and Security Report and Procedures is available on the Safety and Security web site (http://www.esc.edu/safetyandsecurity).

  • (08/20/09) Now available in the "Learning Support" section of MyESC: New study skills resources on topics such as academic reading, note-taking systems, and time management. Click on the green Learning Support tab above and then on “resources” in the "Academic Support and Study Skills" box.
  • (7/16/09) The Central New York Center in Syracuse would like to announce the new early childhood studies within Human Services Learning Community (HSLC). For details and fall offerings, visit the Human Services Learning Community web site.
  • (4/23/09) Student Loans: The Federal Direct Loans will not post to your account summary if you have not completed a Direct Loan Master Promissory Note. You may complete this form online under the 2009-2010 forms at www.esc.edu/sfsforms.
  • (3/31/09) Beware of Financial Aid Scams:

    This is a reminder that if you receive correspondence from an outside agency asking for significant personal information and a processing fee for financial aid it is most likely a scam. We highly encourage you to NOT respond to this type of request, as you could lose the fee and jeopardize your personally identifiable information.
