Announcements

  • (8/30/10) Late registration period is from August 30, 9:00 a.m. until September 10, 5 p.m E.S.T. If you register during the late registration period, your registration must be paid for immediately or your enrollment will not be finalized and your classes will be cancelled. If you sign up for the time payment plan, the first 1/3 payment installment must be made at the time of enrollment.
  • (08/30/10) Call for Proposals! This is the last week to submit your proposal to present your academic or creative work at this year's Student Academic Conference on 10/22 & 10/23 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in White Plains, NY. See the Conference web site at http://www.esc.edu/studentacademicconference for details.
  • (08/27/10) Payment for the September term is due by 5:00 p.m. E.S.T. today. You must have payment or payment arrangements in full in place, as shown on your Account Summary (login required), to avoid cancellation of your enrollment. If you are on the Time Payment Plan, your first 1/3 payment is due. Students who registered or changed their registration since August 23 will not receive a paper bill.
  • (08/23/10) The deadline has been extended for entering your original art in the Empire State College Student Art Competition! All entries must be submitted online (login, then choose "New Main Topic") or postmarked by September 1, 2010. The winning work will be used to make a promotional poster for the college, and may also be used in other Empire State College publications. For details about prizes, notification dates, etc., please read the attached announcement.
  • (08/16/10) If you register or change your September registration after August 23, you will not receive a paper bill. You may view your account summary online (login required). The payment due date for the September term is August 27 , 2010. Enrollments not paid in full, or through approved financial aid, sponsorship or enrollment in the Time Payment Plan will be cancelled after the payment due date.
  • (08/13/10) Nonresident and MBA Program Tuition Increase: Effective with the September 2010 term, rates for nonresident undergraduate and graduate students, and MBA students has increased. Please visit http://www.esc.edu/tuition for complete details. Updated bills will be issued shortly.
  • (08/04/10) Important notice about NYS aid: The NYS budget has been passed, and New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) will be finalizing all 2010-11 state awards shortly. It is anticipated awards will be finalized by August 20th. After all state awards are finalized, approved awards (TAP, for example), will appear on your account summary in MyESC. Please continue to view your Account Summary on MyESC for the most current information. Please note that one of the changes effective 2010-11 is that graduate students are no longer eligible for TAP.
  • (07/26/10) The Central New York Center in Syracuse will hold the first Native American Residency on September 25, 2010. Find out about other residency-based studies for the Fall 2010 term on our Special Learning Opportunities page.
  • (06/14/10) June 14, 9:00 a.m. -- August 27, 5 p.m. . Registration for September 2010 term is now open for nonmatriculated students.
  • (06/01/10) New General Education Policy Effective July 1, 2010: Effective July 1, 2010 the college has approved a revision to the college’s general education requirement for bachelor’s degree students. We are alerting you to this change in case you want to rethink any general education choices as you prepare to register for the fall term. Please see the full description of the change for details.
  • (05/13/10) Study tour in southern Spain: Combine online study with a guided study tour of southern Spain. Enrollment is limited to 15 students; see the full description for details.
  • (10/01/09) The college's Annual Safety and Security Report and Procedures is available on the Safety and Security web site (http://www.esc.edu/safetyandsecurity).
