What is Smarthinking? | How do I Use the Service?

WHAT IS SMARTHINKING?

Smarthinking is an online tutoring service that is available to students 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They offer tutoring in the following subject areas:

Math (from basics to calculus) and Statistics
Biology, Chemistry, Physics

Accounting, Economics, and Finance
Writing, Spanish, and Spanish Writing

You may interact online with Smarthinking's tutors in four ways: by dropping in for a live session, scheduling a live session in advance, submitting a writing assignment to the writing lab, or submitting a question. HOW DO I USE THE SERVICE?

As an Empire State College student, you have access to this FREE service as soon as your first term of enrollment. Your account will remain active as long as you are enrolled in studies with Empire State College.

To get started, first create your own account by clicking on the name of your center or program listed below. This will bring you to the Smarthinking registration page. After you have created your account, you can use the service by visiting the Smarthinking home page at http://www.smarthinking.com and entering your user name and password in the upper right side of the page.
