ACCREDITATION

Empire State College is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104). Founded in 1971 as a part of the State University of New York, Empire State College was designed to meet the needs of adult learners. The college was the first public nontraditional higher education institution to be accredited and is one of the 13 arts and sciences colleges in the State University of New York (SUNY) system.
