If you would like to study at Empire State College but do not plan to pursue a degree, you can still earn credit for courses by enrolling as a nonmatriculated student. Nonmatriculated study can be an excellent way to hone your skills, train for employment, earn credentials and increase your marketability.
Although nonmatriculated students are not eligible for financial aid, they have the same opportunity to study in areas of their interest as matriculated students. To enroll as a nonmatriculated student please contact the Center for Distance Learning at 800 847-3000, ext. 2300.
