Office of the Registrar (enrollment verification for student loan deferments)

Students who wish to defer their student loan payments while they are enrolled at Empire State College need to complete an in-school deferment request form and submit it to the Office of the Registrar. The form can be faxed to the registrar at 518-580-0105. The form is available from the forms menu on MyESC. You can contact the Empire State College Student Information Center at 518 587-2100 or 800 847-3000 with any questions.

Federal Student Aid

• helps students complete the entire Free Application for Federal Student Aid
• helps students correct a student aid report (SAR)
• explains student eligibility requirements, general program requirements and the process of determining federal student financial aid awards
• answers all general inquiries regarding federal student aid
• checks processing status of applications or student aid report corrections
• handles requests for duplicate student aid reports
• changes the college listed on your student aid report
• assists students with ascertaining which lender or agency holds their student loan.
