Aid for Part-Time Study (APTS)
Aid for part-time study is a grant program financed by New York state in conjunction with Empire State College and other participating educational institutions throughout New York state. The program provides up to the cost of tuition to help part-time undergraduate students meet their educational expenses.The maximum award is $2,000 per financial aid award year. The maximum award per term is $1,000, not to exceed the cost of tuition paid directly by the student. Awards are based upon the total need, eligibility criteria and allocation that Empire State College receives each year. Therefore, not all students who meet the eligibility criteria will receive an APTS award. Aid for Part-time Study awards cannot be awarded retroactively.

Aid for Part-Time Study funding has become available again for the 2014 spring term, which falls within the 2013-2014 academic year. You must apply for APTS for 2013-2014 in order to receive a 2014 spring award.
The priority deadline to apply for financial aid for 2014-2015 is April 1, 2014.
