Research on Human Subjects
Empire State College ensures that the rights and welfare of human research subjects are adequately protected in research activities conducted under its auspices. In order for the college to fulfill its responsibilities and to comply with federal and state law and regulations, all human subjects research, including student research, conducted under college auspices must receive appropriate review and approval. Students conducting research involving human subjects submit the Request for Approval of Research Using Human Subjects form with their final project proposal and must receive approval from the Institutional Review Board before beginning their research.
