Immunization Policy

New York state laws require certain immunizations for college students. Enrolling through centers, students are required to provide proof of immunity against measles, mumps and rubella. Students born before January 1, 1957, nonmatriculated students, students with valid religious or medical exemptions and those who are matriculating through the Center for Distance Learning are exempt from these requirements. Empire State College permits one term within which to comply with these requirements. Students who fail to comply will not be permitted to re-enroll after the initial enrollment term, until proof of immunity or appropriate evidence of exemption is supplied to Admissions.
