What Project Management Does
The OIT project management office (PMO) provides project management services for Empire State College technology projects. The PMO also works with the Educational Technology Committee in reviewing initiatives and assigning priorities. When requested, we also provide advice to other areas of the college to improve their project management and coordination expertise.
- Governance: work with technology governance in reviewing initiatives and selecting and prioritizing those projects that closely align with the mission and goals of the college
- Portfolio management: maintain the OIT project portfolio
- Project initiation: assist other ESC offices, centers and programs to investigate and analyze requirements for project initiatives
- Project management: develop project plans and manage these initiatives from initiation to delivery.
