Enterprise Systems and Infrastructure Groups

Administrative Systems

  • provide maintenance and support for the college's major software platforms
  • facilitate Enterprise software procurement and licensing
  • provide tier 2 technical desktop support, manage desktop software, build and generate images for all desktop and laptop computers
  • responsible for single-sign-on, certificates, identity management and campus LDAP directories
  • configure, update and maintain all server platforms and appliances


  • provide provisioning, maintenance, monitoring, upgrades and incident response for all computer networking functions at all college locations
  • provide levels 2 and 3 technical support to ensure reliable and responsive network systems across the WAN environment
  • establish and maintain network security, performance, reliability standards and protocols to ensure a highly available, high-performance, secure and forward-looking network environment in support of all college constituencies

Server Systems

  • maintain, repair and update the college's ERP and document storage software platforms
  • provide monitoring, maintenance, incident response and upgrades for the college's physical and virtual server and desktop environment
  • support current load requirements, plans for future growth and expansion
  • ensure the safety and integrity of Empire State College’s computer data though backup and security measures

Telecommunications and Infrastructure

  • responsible for college wide VOIP phone system hardware and software configurations including voice mail and ECAS (Enterprise Call Accounting Software)
  • support, maintain, upgrade and monitor the college's Cisco Telepresence video conferencing system
  • plan for and coordinate telephone and data communication wiring, physical layout, power and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) for site moves and upgrades
