Directions

From Buffalo (2 hours)

Take Rt. 90 south/west (NYS Thruway) to Rt. 400 south, which becomes Rt. 16 south. Continue on Rt. 16 to Rt. 39 East to Rt. 98 south. Travel on Rt. 98 to Rt. 243, then to Rt. 19 south. At Belmont, turn left onto Rt. 244 east. Turn right onto Main Street. 

From New York City (5 hours)

From Manhattan, take the Lincoln Tunnel to Rt. 3 west (Clifton, N.J.) to Rt. 46 west. Follow to Rt. 80 west (Del Water Gap) to Rt. 380 west (Scranton). Take Rt. 81 north to Binghamton to Rt. 86 (formerly Rt. 17) west. Follow Rt. 86 (formerly Rt. 17) west to Almond Exit (33). Follow signs along Rts. 21 and 244 into Alfred. 

An alternative way to reach Rt. 86 (formerly Rt. 17) west is to take the Tappan Zee Bridge to the Thruway (Rt. 87) north to the Harriman exit.

From the East (2 hours from Binghamton)

Take Rt. 86 (formerly Rt. 17) west (Southern Tier Expressway). Exit at Almond, exit 33. Follow signs along Rts. 21 and 244 into Alfred. 

From the Northeast and East (2 hours from Manchester)

Take NYS Thruway to Manchester, exit 43. Take Rt. 21 south to Rt. 244. Follow signs along Rts. 21 and 244 into Alfred. 

From Rochester

Take Rt. 390 South to the second Dansville Exit, #4, to Rt. 36. Continue south on Rt. 36 through Arkport and to Rt. 86 (formerly Rt. 17) West (Southern Tier Expressway). Exit at Almond, #33. Follow signs along Rts. 21 and 244 into Alfred.

From the West (2 hours from Jamestown)

Take Rt. 86 (formerly Rt. 17) east (Southern Tier Expressway) to Belmont exit 30. Follow signs for Rt. 19 south into Belmont. Turn left onto Rt. 244. At stop sign, turn right onto Main Street.
