Directions

From Middletown:

Take Interstate 84 East to Exit 10, stay to right of ramp, turn right onto Route 9W and immediately get into the left lane. At stoplight (Sunoco Gas Station on left), turn left onto North Plank Road. Continue straight (becomes Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard as road curves parallel to Hudson River). Turn right onto Colden Street and proceed up hill. At stop sign, turn right onto Broadway and seek on-street parking or follow parking instructions below. Empire State College is located in the Maple Building (2nd floor).

From Route 17:

Take Exit 121E (Interstate 84). Follow same directions as if coming from Middletown.

From upstate New York or New York City:

Take New York State Thruway to Exit 17. After toll booths, bear right, follow signs for Interstate 84 East. Follow directions as if coming from Middletown.

From Connecticut and New England:

Take Interstate 84 West and cross Newburgh-Beacon Bridge. Take Exit 10S, bear right at end of ramp, follow to next traffic light, turn right onto Route 9W South. Proceed to second traffic light (Sunoco Gas Station on left), turn left onto North Plank Road. Continue straight (becomes Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard as road curves parallel to Hudson River). Turn right onto Colden Street and proceed up hill. At stop sign, turn right onto Broadway and seek on-street parking or follow parking instructions below. Empire State College is located in the Maple Building (2nd floor).

Parking

From Broadway: Driving towards the river, Broadway dead ends at Colden Street. At this intersection, make a left turn. The parking structure will be in the second building. Drive up to the second level (P2) and park there. Once there you can either take the elevator (between 8:30 am – 5 pm) or the stairs at the far end of the structure closest to where you drove in from the ramp. Upon leaving, you can take the elevator back down to the parking garage.

From the river and MLK, Jr. Street (also called North Plank Road): Make a right turn at Colden Street, drive up the hill, past Second Street. The parking structure will be the first building to your right. Drive up to the second level (P2). Follow instructions from (P2) above.

Please do not try to park in the new OCCC building parking structure; security will not allow it.

The parking in front of our building has been closed off due to renovations they are doing to the old OCCC building.
