Assistant Professor Kim Stote Awarded a Fulbright Scholar Grant
Assistant Professor Kim Stote, Ph.D., M.P.H., R.D., has been awarded a Fulbright Scholar grant to conduct research at the University of Prince Edward Island, Canada, during the 2012-2013 academic year, according to the United States Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.
In her role at the University of Prince Edward Island as visiting research chair in Nutrisciences and Health, Stote will conduct research to evaluate the health benefits of bioactive components in berries. Additionally, she will participate in the Prince Edward Island community lecture series at Café Scientifique.
Administered by the Council for International Exchange of Scholars, Fulbright grants recognize academic and/or professional achievement and provide opportunities for study, research, teaching and sharing of ideas aimed at finding solutions to shared international concerns.
She is assistant professor and academic area coordinator of health services at the college's Center for Distance Learning.
