SUNY Empire State College Launches New Online MBA in Global Leadership
“The program is completely online to serve global business leaders where they are,” said Tai Arnold, acting dean of the college’s School for Graduate Studies. “We make learning accessible and our curriculum and expertise relevant. This program offers flexibility in both time and space constraints. In addition, many business transactions and interactions are conducted online and familiarity with an online approach to business is essential.”
“All organizations from the smallest to the largest are faced with global competitors,” said Alan Belasen, chairman of the college’s School for Graduate Studies' MBA program. “Increasingly we receive inquiries from students and allied business programs to develop a curriculum that addresses global business issues. In order to support both domestic and international strategies, today's leaders must be able to make decisions based on this dynamic global business environment.”
Graduate students in the MBA in Global Leadership program can customize their degree program after the first year by selecting courses that reflect their interests in content areas such as business, sustainability, ethics and others. The program includes a final project where graduate students apply their learning in global strategic leadership.
Today’s announcement follows the recognition of the college’s MBA program by Military Times magazine as among the top 25 “Best for Vets” and the college’s launch of Credit Where Credit is Due: Veteran and Service Member Pathway to the MBA.
