Statement from President Merodie A. Hancock on the Departure of Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher

“Chancellor Nancy Zimpher’s leadership, initiatives and accomplishments have strengthened teaching, learning and scholarship throughout the SUNY system for the great benefit of the students, faculty and communities SUNY serves throughout the state.

“SUNY’s completion agenda, Open SUNY, and seamless transfer in particular, are sweet spots for Empire State College and will continue to help nontraditional students, a growing population, to complete their degrees.

“Nancy has been a trusted mentor, outstanding role model and inspirational leader and I look forward to working with Nancy, and system and campus colleagues, to ensure the coming year is equally, if not more, productive than her first.”
