The Venue - Saratoga Springs
Nestled on a lovely pastoral site, Longfellows has moved past its humble beginnings as a 1915 dairy barn to today's charming hotel with all the conveniences of a modern facility and ambiance to rival the most historic of Saratoga's hotels. Longfellows Hotel, Restaurant and Conference Center overlooks the majestic Adirondack Mountain range.
Empire State College
Our 2 Union Ave. location is a LEED-Certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green building. Energy efficiency was emphasized on all levels. Construction materials consisted, wherever possible, of recycled building material from within a 500-mile radius. The roof is composed of recycled plastics and the panels on the front of the building are made of recycled computer chips boards and car bumpers.
Opening in 1932 just before Prohibition ended, the local rumor is that Sperry's operated as a speakeasy until Prohibition's repeal. Always a favorite of locals, horse racing industry professionals, artists, tourists and celebrities alike, this Saratoga tradition is the venue for Thursday evening.
