It's easy to think of environmental issues as big problems that are occurring somewhere else. Climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss are all national and international issues, but they also have impacts where you live.
In the course Contemporary Environmental Issues students examine a broad range of contemporary global environmental issues, such as biodiversity, pollution, population growth, and global warming, with the focus on how those big issues can have local effects.
In support of this the course developer has created an Environmental Field Activities web site that features and describes some of the field activities used in the course. This web site is publicly available.
