Effective with the September 2013 term, all advance refunds will be distributed via Higher One.
You may apply for an advance refund based on your pending financial aid. These funds are made available through the college's foundation and are to be used for educational costs to attend Empire State College.
To apply, complete the student request for an advance of excess financial aid application below. You must be registered for the current or upcoming term and meet all the criteria outlined on the application. The maximum amount of an advance refund is $500 per term.

Review of applications begins four weeks prior to the term start date. Applications received before that date will be held until that time. If approved, your account will be charged for the amount of your advance. Your advance will be distributed via the Higher One refund method you have selected: deposit into your own bank account, Higher One account, or a Higher One paper check. If your refund preference is paper check, be sure to confirm that your address on file is accurate at http://www.escchoicecard.com. Your check cannot be picked up in person.
