SUNY Empire State College’s 4thAnnual Student Art Competition is now underway. Last year we were blown away by the volume and talent of submissions received and we hope we can say the same this year.
Students can submit art work online to be reviewed by a committee of judges across the state. Any type/medium of art is accepted for judging, please limit one submission per student, and it must be submitted as a two-dimensional electronic image and be appropriate in content in order to represent the college.
The winning piece will be announced and the winner recognized at the annual Student Academic Conference. The first place winner’s work will be printed in poster form to be used in various college publications and displayed throughout the college. First place receives $300, second place receives $200 and third place walks away with $100, honorable mentions are selected as well. First, second and third place winners also receive travel assistance to attend the Student Academic Conference being held in Buffalo, NY on October 12th & 13th.
Students can submit their art work for the 2012 competition until May 4th. Submit work as a PDF at www.esc.edu/studentart. On the site, students click ‘New Main Topic’ and complete the Poster Submission Form.
Questions should be directed to Danielle Benedict at 518-587-2100, ext. 2255 or by email at Danielle.Benedict@esc.edu.
