Danielle Clum, assistant editor
Danielle Clum is a SUNY Empire State College student with the Northeast Center–Saratoga Unit. She is majoring in English with a concentration in editing and writing. Clum projects she will complete her studies and receive a Bachelor of Arts in 2013. Her career goal is to work in the editorial/publishing field.
Clum was eager to accept the challenge of launching the new online student newsletter, The Student Connection, in December 2010. By the end of her tenure as editor in January 2012, she had posted 30 issues, including four special issues of The Student Voice, which features creative work by students.
Having stepped back to train a new student editor, to ensure a seamless transition, this semester Clum will continue her involvement with The Student Connection as assistant editor. She looks forward to working with the new student editor, Sandra Barkevich, student writers and the Student Affairs Committee, which she serves as a student representative for the Northeast Center.
“I thoroughly enjoy every minute I spend working on the newsletter. I look forward to reading, reviewing and editing the articles and creative pieces, and to be able to publish fellow students’ work,” said Clum.
