To My True Love, Timothy

By Anne McCorkell, student, Center for Distance Learning

In revealing your deepest thoughts and desires to me,
I could not help but fall deeply in love with you
When I first saw you sitting in the sunlight,
The blue of the sky could not compare to the color of your eyes
The taste of sweet wine could not compare to that of your lips
To feel your arms caressing me sensually,
I could only pray that I would live to love you forever
Thoughts of you lingered in my memory,
Like the ripples of a wave of a strong ocean current
That constantly washes against the sand and seashells
Your love will remain forever emblazoned on my heart, mind and soul
