Academy for Lifelong Learning

Welcome Message from the Academy for Lifelong Learning Executive Council Chairperson

Jim Hartman

Executive Council Chair Jim Hartman

Welcome to the Academy for Lifelong Learning at Saratoga Springs website. I am sure there are many of you who would have felt some concern years ago with anything labeled a “website”. Even Charlotte had a concern about being thrown into the Web. But, fortunately, today things are different. The academy is part of a national learning/sharing program that began in 1960. Even though the structure and the name have changed over the years, the academy’s mission remains the same: to give participants another chance to gain tremendously from many experts in a wide variety of fields of expertise.

There is no grading, nor any college credit to be obtained. Rather, what is to be gained is an opportunity to learn new things while at the same time being able to share in our study groups the experience that each of you brings to the table. It really is an amazing experience that I truly believe you would cherish.

Please take a look at our brochure of course offering this fall. I hope you will give some serious consideration to joining us. I’m sure you won’t regret it!
