A Note on Accounting Degrees

Empire State College does offer concentrations in accounting. See the concentration in accounting section in the business, management and economics area of study guidelines.

An Empire State College undergraduate degree in accounting is not sufficient to meet the total educational credit requirement in order to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination for licensure in New York state. The student is responsible for checking with their state board and professional associations, regarding the current requirements for any professional designations they are interested in pursuing.
