Aid for Part-Time Study (APTS)

Aid for part-time study is a grant program financed by New York state in conjunction with Empire State University and other participating educational institutions throughout New York state. The program provides up to the cost of tuition to help part-time undergraduate students meet their educational expenses. The maximum award is $2,000 per financial aid award year. The maximum award per term is $1,000, not to exceed the cost of tuition paid directly by the student. Awards are based upon the total need, eligibility criteria and allocation that Empire State University receives each year. Therefore, not all students who meet the eligibility criteria will receive an APTS award. Aid for Part-time Study awards cannot be awarded retroactively.  Aid for Part-Time Study may at any point be reduced after awarded based upon the unavailability of funds.

Please note that funds for 2023-2024 are currently exhausted, and the 2024-2025 APTS application is coming soon!
