How to Create Permalinks (PURLs) to Library Items

Linking to an item in a library database often requires a few more steps than linking to a webpage. You will need to create a stable link (also known as a 'permalink' or 'PURL').

  1. Click Embed/Link (located beneath the box where the video plays.
  2. Copy the link that pops up.

AnthroSource

  1. View article in full text.
  2. Copy the URL from your browser address bar.

ARTstor

  1. Register for, or sign into your own ARTstor account, following the instructions in the help documentation.
  2. Right-click the image in your results page.
  3. Select "Generate image URL" and copy the URL.
