Staten Island Directions

Empire State College is located at 1200 South Ave. in suite 202  in Staten Island across from State Island University Hospital North. From the front entrance the college is in the first office at the top of the stairs (second floor).

From St. George Ferry Terminal

  • S52 — Exit at Seaview Avenue. The college is located opposite Staten Island University Hospital North.
    Schedule: 5 a.m. to Midnight
  • S78 — Exit at Hylan Boulevard and Seaview Avenue. Walk three blocks south on Seaview Avenue. The college is on the right.
    Schedule: 24 hours a day/7 days a week

From Tottenville (Main Street)

  • S78 — Exit at Hylan Boulevard and Seaview Avenue. Walk three blocks south on Seaview Avenue. The college is on the right.
    Schedule: 24 hours a day/7 days a week

From Staten Island Mall (Richmond Avenue)

  • S79 — Exit at Hylan Boulevard and Seaview Avenue. Walk three blocks south on Seaview Avenue. The college is on the right.
    Schedule: Weekdays - 5:00 a.m. to 10:40 p.m., Saturdays - 6:47 a.m. to 10:40 p.m., Sundays - 7:50 a.m. to 7:23 p.m.

From Brooklyn (Bay Ridge - 86th Street "R" Subway Station)

  • S79 — Exit at Hylan Boulevard and Seaview Avenue. Walk three blocks south on Seaview Avenue. The college is on the right.
    Schedule: Weekdays - 6:05 a.m. to 11:50 p.m., Saturdays - 7:50 a.m. to 11:48 p.m., Sundays - 9:00 a.m. to 8:38 p.m.

Staten Island Railway

  • From either Saint George or Tottenville, take the SIR to the Dongan Hills station.
  • Walk five blocks south (past Hylan Boulevard) on Seaview Avenue. The college is on the right.
    Schedule: 24 hours a day/7 days a week

Driving

From the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge (other New York City boroughs)

  • Try to take the lower level and stay in the right lane.
  • After going through the toll booth, get off at the second exit, South Beach/Lily Pond Avenue. Continue straight under the overpass.
  • Stay on Lily Pond Avenue which becomes Father Capodanno Boulevard. Go through three traffic lights. Blue hospital signs indicate you are going in the right direction. The fourth traffic light will be Seaview Avenue.
  • Make a right onto Seaview Avenue. In a short distance the Staten Island University Hospital will be on the right with the college directly across the street.
  • Go past 500 Seaview Ave. and make a U-turn from the left lane around the center island.
  • Turn into the circular drive in front of the building.

From the Goethals Bridge (New Jersey)

  • Follow signs on the Staten Island Expressway (Route 278) toward the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge.
  • Get off at the Lily Pond Avenue exit: it is the last exit before the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge., Lily Pond Avenue.
  • At the traffic light at the end of the ramp, make a right turn onto Lily Pond Avenue (which becomes Father Capodanno Boulevard). Go through three traffic lights. Blue hospital signs indicate you are going in the right direction. The fourth traffic light will be Seaview Avenue.
