Empire State University’s Student Success Team has Strong Showing at 2023 SUNY Student Success Summit

(SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY - May 3, 2023) Empire State University’s Student Success sent four teams to virtually present at the 2023 SUNY Student Success Summit. Held from April 26 to 28, the 2023 SUNY Student Success Summit focused on “evidence and results-based practices that prioritize a diversity of student voices and experiences to ensure relevant and sustainable sources of equitable and timely assistance focusing on the whole student.”

SUNY Empire’s Student Success team presentations included:

1. Supporting Students with Invisible Disabilities in the Online Environment. Presenters: Melissa Zgliczynski, Andrea Piazza, Callie Montalvo-Patel, Lindsay Bryde, Lindsay Infantino

2. Engaging Online Undergraduate Students: SUNY Empire's Approach to Creating a Community of First Term Learners. Presenters: Ashley Mason, Samantha James

3. Supporting Student Mental Health. Presenters: Josh Boardman, Sarah Wiffen (FLCC)

4. It Takes a Village: Designing an Effective Online Course. Presenters: Brett Sherman and Christine Paige
