The Office of Veterans Military Education Meets with New York Army and Air National Guard Education Service

(SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY - June 5, 2023) The Office of Veterans Military Education (OVME) team met with education representatives from the New York Army and Air National Guard Education Services Office on July 5. Education Services Officer Major Phyonne Reynolds-Folkes and Education Services Specialist Kelly Houghtaling were actively engaged in a comprehensive information session focused on SUNY Empire's services and educational support for military members, spouses, and dependents, along with veteran students.

 

Desiree Drindak, director of veteran and military education, along with Anne Sweet, military student services supervisor, and Brian Sherman, military outreach and enrollment supervisor, provided technical aspects within the OVME and answered all questions pertaining to student success and process.

 

"Engaging military communities in New York state is a priority for the OVME team as we look ahead to grow our student enrollment," said Sherman.
