SUNY Empire to Host Blood Drive with the American Red Cross

(SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY - September 25, 2023) SUNY Empire will host a blood drive with the American Red Cross on Wednesday, September 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The drive will be held at 113 West Avenue, in room 143.

Please email Tiffany.Williams@sunyempire.edu or visit the Red Cross site to schedule an appointment. The entire process will take about an hour, unless you’re a double-red-cell donor, which will take approximately 30 minutes longer.

At our last drive in May, the Red Cross collected 26 units, potentially helping 78 patients. The Red Cross hopes to collect 25 regular donations and 10 double-red-cell donations at this drive. 

RapidPass will be available for this drive. It allows you to start the blood donation process from the comfort of your home or office. and saves time at the donation site. The process is simple.

***Please note that RapidPass cannot be completed prior to the date of the drive. You must complete the steps to redeem your pass on the day you donate.***
