SUNY Empire's 3rd Annual Partners in Applied Behavior Analysis Virtual Conference to be Held March 1

Conference hosted by Empire State University’s Center for Autism Advocacy: Research, Education, and Supports (CAARES) and Anderson Center for Autism

(SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY — January 29, 2024) — Empire State University’s Center for Autism Advocacy: Research, Education, and Supports (CAARES) and Anderson Center for Autism will host their third annual Partners in Applied Behavior Analysis Conference on March 1, 2024. The conference will be held virtually.

This year’s theme, Everyday ABA: Advancing Quality of Life & Advocacy, includes presentations and panels focusing on everyday applications of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to promote self-advocacy and quality of life across clinical, educational, home, and community settings. The conference will emphasize self-determination, dignity, and affirming practices in ABA support, service delivery, and research. Topics will span transition, compassionate care, socially valid feeding assessment and intervention, social validity and advocacy, training approaches across contexts, and behavior analysis in healthcare settings.

Speakers and panelists include behavior analysts from around the world. This year’s keynote speaker will be Peter Gerhardt, Ed.D., executive director of EPIC School.
