In the News: Dr. Bridget Nettleton Memorial Scholarship featured on News10 ABC
The scholarship was announced in tandem with a $50,000 match challenge provided by David ’13 ’17 and Susan Theobald ’16.
(SARATOGA SPRINGS – MARCH 29, 2024) Empire State University’s new, transformative Dr. Bridget Nettleton Memorial Scholarship was featured on News10 ABC March 28, 2024.
The scholarship was announced in tandem with a $50,000 match challenge provided by David ’13 ’17 and Susan Theobald ’16. Through the Go Higher for Empire initiative, faculty, staff, alumni, and students raised $86,131 for the Nettleton Memorial Scholarship.
During the interview with News10 ABC, the Theobalds discuss Dr. Nettleton’s legacy and impact on the nursing field as the first dean of the School of Nursing and Allied Health.
“She was a great advocate for students, but also always accessible, always kind and caring,” Theobald said.
