The Office of Academic Affairs at Empire State University leads in the development of academic priorities and works with the faculty and administration to achieve the highest standard of excellence in all our areas of academic engagement.

  • Office of the Provost
    The provost is the university’s chief academic officer and, in collaboration with the vice provosts, is responsible for all academic programs at the university’s campuses and learning centers.
  • PRODiG Initiative
    The SUNY PRODiG (Promoting Recruitment, Opportunity, Diversity, Inclusion and Growth) initiative supports the growth of faculty diversity and aims to improve campus efforts to increase the number of historically underrepresented populations in faculty and women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (WSTEM) faculty.
  • SUNY Empire Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (WiSTEM)
    The SUNY Empire Women in STEM (WiSTEM) is an organization of women faculty with academic backgrounds in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) at Empire State University that aim to empower women in STEM by promoting gender equality and work-life balance, and providing support to achieve their highest potential.
  • Black Male Initiative
    The Black Male Initiative is a safe space for black male students where they can freely discuss their problems and issues in an open, familiar and understanding environment without reproach or fear of embarrassment.
