Noon arrive at field station and check in (grab lunch on the way)
1-1:45 p.m. introductions, schedule review, tour and field safety
2-4 p.m. applied talk: scientific research
4-5 p.m. set cameras and vole traps
5-6 p.m. hypothesis testing and plant genetics experiment
6-7 p.m. predator scent avoidance experiment
7-9 p.m. working dinner at UIC and time to work on assignments/data analysis


7:30-8:30 a.m. breakfast and data analysis discussion
8:30-9:30 a.m. mapping demonstration
9:30-10:30 a.m. ethology and ethogram construction talk
10:45-11:30 a.m. grab lunch at UIC and leave for zoo trip
11:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. zoo trip - animal behavior experiments
4:15-5 p.m. lake fauna and invasive species activity
5-6:45 p.m. river morphology, stream flow and aquatic life activity
6:45-7:45 p.m. working dinner and presentation of proposed final projects
7:45-9:15 p.m. applied talks: geomorphology and biodiversity


8-9 a.m. breakfast and discussion
9-9:45 a.m. biodiversity experiment
10 a.m.-noon rocky outcrop
Noon lunch and worktime
12:15-1 p.m. evaluate and discuss data from plant genetics and trapping projects
1-3p.m. worktime, wrap up discussion and depart for home
