SUNY Research Foundation
All Empire State College sponsored programs are administered through the Research Foundation for SUNY (RF), as is the case with most of the SUNY campuses. The RF provides the independence and administrative flexibility to respond quickly to the special demands of sponsored programs; needs that could not be as easily accommodated through state processes.
In its role, the RF becomes the official applicant of a proposal on behalf of the college. It also becomes the official awardee. The Office of Sponsored Programs works with the RF to ensure that all sponsor requirements are met as well as to provide the necessary services to you, the principal investigator.
Once you receive an award, a staff member of the Office of Sponsored Programs and the Business Office will work with you to comply with RF policies and procedures. Additionally, we will provide you access to the RF’s grants accounting system so that you are able to view your account at any time. Please feel free to contact the Office of Sponsored Programs if you have any questions or concerns.
