Opening Speaker- Ms. Tammy Rehberg

Tammy Rehberg became a certified professional life coach in 2015 after completing an intensive 320 hour curriculum with iPEC (Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching). She helps clients make conscious life choices and shift their energy to bring those choices to fruition.  Through her personal stories, Tammy shares her challenges, triumphs and life lessons regarding relationships, mindful living and work-life balance.

Tammy joined the US Army Reserve in her senior year of high school; and after fulfilling an 8-year contract received an honorable discharge as an E-6 Staff Sergeant. While in the reserves, she earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and master’s degree in special education from the College of Saint Rose and holds NYS permanent certification in each area.

Tammy is currently a full-time special education teacher at Middleburgh Central Schools in Schoharie County. She has been an elementary school and special education teacher for 10 years. Ms. Rehberg was also employed at the State University at Cobleskill for 15 years in various roles including resident hall director, adjunct instructor, assistant director of residential life, career counselor and writing center manager.

Tammy and her husband of 21 years are raising chickens and teenagers on 22 acres in a passive solar house she designed and built - with the help of a talented carpenter/stepbrother and some patient sub-contractors.

She combines 25+ years of experience as a speaker, coach, comedienne, professional storyteller and health care practitioner and integrates humor, storytelling, metaphor, and exercises rooted in brain science to enable groups and individuals to live their truth, own their value, and create a life that is fulfilling. The creator of Smart Sexy TV, Lois has been the makeover life coach for SELF Magazine; Fitness Magazine and Fit Blog (Sears) as well as the "Stress Less--Thrive More" Lady for C.T. Style TV (ABC Affiliate). Lois has been quoted and published in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, SELF Magazine, Fast Company,, NAFE, and Weight Watchers magazine to name a few and is a contributing blogger for Daily News/Daily Views. Her speaking clients include L'Oreal, Girl Scouts, Capital One, Society of Women Engineers, and the Navy amongst many others. Lastly, she is a proud alumna (2012) and poster girl for Empire State College and is a passionate advocate that "It's Never Too Late to Get a Great Education."
