New Coordinator for the Health and Wellness Initiative

On July 1 st, McKenzie Dunphy joined the Office of Student Life as the new Coordinator of the Health and Wellness Initiative. In this role, she will oversee the events, resources and services available to students through the Health and Wellness Initiative including:

  • connecting students to local community services (e.g. regional food banks, local counseling services, etc.);
  • promotion of online resources (e.g. health e-magazine, legal, financial, and tele-counseling services, etc.); and
  • delivery of regional and statewide health and wellness events.

“I am so please the McKenzie has joined our team” said Dean of Student Affairs and Academic Services, Lisa D’Adamo-Weinstein; “She brings with her the perfect blend of experience in higher education, healthcare, and marketing. Her background will bring a depth of understanding about the many dimensions of health and wellness as well as a new approach to raising awareness about the vast array of resources we offer our students. I’m very excited about the future direction of the Health and Wellness Initiative under McKenzie’s leadership.”

McKenzie earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing at Castleton University. Upon graduation, she worked in higher education, in Vermont, at the College of St. Joseph where she planned multiple events and outreach campaigns within the Development and Alumni Relations Office. Most recently, she worked in healthcare as a Marketing and Event Coordinator at the Rutland Regional Medical Center. There she oversaw planning and coordination of health and wellness related events with community partners, volunteers, and vendors for the Medical Center and local community. She is a brand new resident of Saratoga Springs.
