End of Term Tips and Reminders

End of Term Tips and Reminders

From the Student Success and Development Team

As our spring term begins to wind down, we wanted to provide you with some helpful reminders:

o   Academic Support: Visit the Academic Support page to take advantage of the workshops, tutoring, interactive tools and other services delivered by our Academic Support team. Need tutoring? Click here to make an appointment with a learning coach.

o   Incomplete Requests: If you need additional time to complete your coursework due to extenuating circumstances, you may ask your instructor for an incomplete. Incompletes are at the discretion of the instructor, and at a minimum, you must have consistently engaged in learning activities and completed at least 50% of your course work for the specific class by the end of the term. A grade of incomplete may provide you with up to an additional 15 weeks to complete assignments. Be aware that an IN could temporarily impact your financial aid and/or ability to register. Failure to hand in work by the extended deadline could result in an ‘F’ in the course. Click here for more information on incompletes.

o   Both Summer 2022 and Fall 2022 registration are open! If you are interested in registering for either of these terms, reach out to your mentor as soon as possible to discuss which course(s) you should take. The earlier you register, the more likely you are to get the courses you need. Summer 2022 begins on Monday, May 16 and Fall 2022 begins on Tuesday, September 6.

o   Complete an updated FAFSA! Remember, the summer begins a new financial aid year. If you have not already, make sure you fill out a new FAFSA application for the 2022-23 aid year. This FAFSA covers Summer 2022, Fall 2022, and Spring 2023. For more information, click here.

GOOD LUCK!
