Thriving Campus

by Josh Boardman, Basic Needs Coordinator

Accessing mental health in your local community has never been easier with the help of Thriving Campus. The State University of New York (SUNY) has partnered with Thriving Campus, a web-based application that provides you access to a nationwide community of off-campus mental-health providers who work with students of all ages.

Students can filter results by location in the state, the state you live in, statewide telehealth options, race, therapy approaches, insurance, language, and a vast number of other criteria.

One of the best features of this site is it allows anyone who does not currently have health insurance to select professionals who work on a sliding scale based upon current income. This mental-health search application is a free service for all SUNY Empire State College students.

Select a provider to learn more about the services they offer and review their personal statement by simply clicking on the name or picture of the mental-health professional. If you find a therapist you like, click on their contact information to schedule your appointment.

Not sure how to select a new provider or what to say if you get the provider’s voicemail? Find answers in the “Help Guide” at the top right of the screen. Thriving Campus even details common insurance basics to help pay for therapy.

All professionals listed on the Thriving Campus web-based app are currently accepting new patients! Do not delay. Find your local mental-health support today! Visit https://esc.thrivingcampus.com/
