Welcome!

Greetings!

I am Dr. Kim Stote, and I am the newly appointed dean of the School of Nursing and Allied Health at SUNY Empire State College. Whether you are a nursing and allied health student or are pursuing study in another SUNY Empire school, I wish you all the best this spring term.

Prior to my new role as dean, I served as the associate dean of health professions for the School of Nursing and Allied Health at from 2017 to 2020. In addition, I have served as a faculty member at SUNY Empire since 2009, holding the rank of tenured associate professor. I have a longstanding commitment to academic service and to the value of scholarship, along with great dedication to mentorship for both students and faculty.

Our goals, no matter what program you are in, are to support your academic, professional, and personal needs; identify and build upon your existing knowledge and skills; and nurture and sustain you in lifelong curiosity and critical inquiry.

We are deeply committed to supporting you as you move through your educational journey at SUNY Empire.
