Announcing the Bluebird Award: Nominations Sought

by the Student Affairs Committee

Do you know a student who is an amazing example of volunteerism, community building or a great leader? If you do please consider nominating them for the SUNY Empire State College’s Bluebird award.

Any current full, or part-time undergraduate, or graduate student at SUNY Empire State College can be nominated, and self-nominations are allowed. The winner for the Bluebird Award will be announced at the end of each Fall and Spring Semester at Commencement.

Those who are nominating individuals, or students who will nominating themselves, will need to submit a brief statement up to 750 words, OR a short video that is 3 minutes or less, explaining why this student should be nominated for their exceptional work in either volunteerism, community building, or leadership.  Students are required to upload supporting evidence of their work (I.e., links to websites, pics, videos, recommendation letters, etc.), so that the selection committee may better understand your contribution to your community. Those who are not self-nominating an individual will need to state how they are affiliated with the student, and how long they have known the student.  Please see the Bluebird Award nomination form to view the criteria for evaluation that the selection committee will be using.

*Self-nominations are allowed.

Nominations for Spring 2021 will be due before March 18 at 11:59 PM.
