Play Directed by Northeast Center Mentor Cindy Bates at Curtain Call Theater

Cindy BatesLend Me A Tenor,” by Ken Ludwig, a comedy directed by Northeast Center mentor Cindy Bates, at left, opened on Friday, Feb. 24, and will run through March 31 at the Curtain Call Theater, 210 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. Performances are Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 3 p.m.

The madcap screwball comedy centers on the sudden disappearance of fiery-tempered, world-famous Italian superstar Tito Merelli after his arrival in Cleveland, where he was scheduled for his local-opera debut. As the show's presenter conspires to cover for Merelli's absence, chaos ensues in a series of hilarious mishaps.
